You can resize and rotate objects using the handles on the bounding box that shows up when you select an object.
Also, you can flip objects horizontally or vertically, and send them to back or front. For this, use the respective buttons that appear to the right of the bounding box.
You can use the arrow keys on your keyboard to nudge objects into their proper position.
